RecoveryPark believes that putting vacant spaces back into productive use and making them welcoming work places for people in the community is an essential ingredient to revitalization of our neighborhood. We are actively engaged with our partners to clean up over 40 acres of vacant land, identifying buildings and homes that can be refurbished, bringing down dangerous or uninhabitable structures, and developing plans to improve the environment through sustainable resource management. We work with current residents to provide alternatives so they can have safe and secure housing.
RecoveryPark is an active participant in the construction and maintenance of the U.S EPA Great Lakes Restoration Initiative. The $2MM project will demonstrate how keeping storm water out of sewerage systems and reusing that water can lead to the development of new infrastructure standards for Detroit and other cities around the world.,
